Chug, Chug, Chug!
By AmazingAND

            Chug, Chug, Chug, Chug
            Choo, Choo, Choo, Choo
            Train is starting,
             Destination,
             Coming for you.
             Getting faster,
             Train is speeding,
             Destination,
             Right over there,
             Train is growling,
             Wheels are screeching,
             Reached our station!

Stopping By A Forest And Seeing A Treehouse

by AmazingAND

Whose treehouse is this I think I know.
His house is in the village, though:
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his treehouse fill with eyes.
My little dog thinks it is a doghouse,
To stop, and sniff, and play,
Between the forest and the trees,
The smell of the woods linger on.
He gives the tree a single shake,
To collect the sweet and juicy fruits.
The only other sound is the chirping of the birds,
And every footstep on the dry leaves.
The treehouse is beautiful, cozy and nice,
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Long, Long, Ago

By AmazingAND

Long, long, ago,
There were not too many toys,
The children used to play together,
Play with the girls and boys.

                  Long, long, ago
                  Things costed very low.
                  Now we have cellphones,
                  Iphones and Ipads too.
Now it is about 200 years later,

And it is now me and you!

Heat

                                                        by AmazingAND

Sunny, sunny, very, very, hot.
Is it cold? Is it cold? Not cold not!

Hotty, clotty, blit blat-a-blotty,
Turning hot, clurning hot, glurning around.

Turning tan, turning tan,
Darker skin, Narker skin, skin is turning dark.

Sunscreen, whunscreen,
Put on some junscreen

Icey, whicey, lemonade,
For the parchy, starchy, throat

A Prairie Dog Pup is Born
By AmazingAND

A Prairie Dog pup is born!
It squeaks, and squeals, and yips.
It lives in a hole, a burrow or a dip.
                   The pup comes outside,
And mom takes it for a ride.
                   Then a wolf approaches,
                    Like a bunch of cockroaches,
Mom tells the pup to hide.
                    It is nighttime,
                    The pup is asleep.
                     Mom watches with a smile,
And gives a soft little peep”

Something told the monarchs

By AmazingAND

Something told the monarchs,
It was time to go.
Though the fields were not yet covered in frost,
Something whispered “snow.”

All the snowy orchards,
Steamed with amber spice,
But each breeze made it cooler,
At remembered ice.

Something told the monarchs,
It was time to fly.
Summer sun was disappearing,
Winter in their cry
